It is safe to say that this September has been warmer than many could have imagined. While the time of year says it is time for cooler weather, mother nature has other plans. TV-10s Dominick Turco spoke with Illinois State University students to get their opinions on this recent heat wave. Students say they are taking extra measures before class to help prepare for the high temperatures. Israel Stapleton says, “I make sure I pack some extra lotion or something to moisturize or just to like freshen up if i need to because 92 degrees at this time of year is crazy.” However, some students like Vinny Arunno do not mind the hot temperatures. Arunno says, “I’m a fan of the heat, I’d rather it be hot than really cold cause once it gets too cold it gets slippery like kids are slipping on the ice and thats not fun either. I’d say the heat is a lesser of two evils in that situation.” This is now one of the hottest September’s we have seen since the 1900s.
