News Director Laura Trendle Polus was an award-winning reporter and producer at TV stations in Peoria and Milwaukee before turning to education. She’s also a two-time ISU alum.
Bob Carroll has shot news, sports and commercials at stations in Peoria and Bloomington, and managed the studio crew at a station in Champaign. He brings all this, plus his Art Degree, to his work as Production Coordinator for TV-10.
Brent Simonds, Ed.D., specializes in editing and post-production. He directed and produced at TV stations in Oklahoma before moving to Illinois several years ago.
Courses on law and ethics are taught by Maria Moore, Ph.D. She brings her own experiences into the classroom; she managed TV stations across the country.
Ben Lynn is a network camera operator, specializing in robotics and aerial cameras. He teaches TV production.
Kelly Lambert is launching new courses in Sports Production; she free-lances for sports production at all levels.
RC McBride has plenty of experience behind the mic, as a radio host and sports commentator. He teaches Sportscasting and Broadcast Performance.
Jim Polus is usually out in the field, literally, making videos for the Illinois Farm Bureau. But he also teaches a production course each spring.
Engineer Rob Whalen keeps an eye and ear on everything technical at TV-10, and headed up the conversions to digital and then to HD. He’s worked at all 3 Peoria TV stations at different points.
Engineer Jim Sallen assists everyone, and has spent a lot of time transferring old media to preserve TV-10s history.
