Watterson Dining Commons is serving up dishes from around world for International Education Week.

The week is a chance for students to celebrate cultures from around the world. “We were approached several months ago about partnering with the international community and doing a menu in the dining services. We were going to do a single day – then we were like why not do a whole week?” says Troy Tomlinson, a chef in the dining commons.

Each day this week, campus dining features a new international dish to give students the ability to try new dishes without leaving campus. “For me todays meal, the tortellini with pesto, is probably my standout because all of my career I focused on Italian cuisine, so this is probably my favorite meal of the week.” Dining services is also partnering with the vertical farm on campus. The farm provides fresh ingredients for the week’s recipes.

International Education week gives students a chance to celebrate their home and share it with new friends they have made.
