Administrators at the Central Illinois Regional Airport report that the airport will continue to function as normal and despite no paychecks, TSA workers and other employees have continued to show up to work. TV-10’s Aleks Duba caught up with the Central Illinois Regional Airport Manager Melissa Beaver for more information. Beaver makes passengers aware of ways to stay informed on flight information.
“I think anyone that is flying is pretty much aware of the FAA changes that are going on but our advice is to download the app for the airline that you’re flying because you will get the most direct information from your airline for any flight changes that you will have.”
It is unknown how long these flight changes and cancellations will last. Airport officials advice travelers to monitor their airline and flight information closely.
