After 15 years of planning, ISU’s Fine Arts building finally begins construction. Although these renovations are going to be beneficial for the Wonsook Fine Arts building, it is raising complaints for pedestrians trying to get to class. With this construction lots F-26 and the South University lot are blocked off causing foot traffic.

One student says “I live south of campus and it’s actually a huge inconvenience to me. It blocks of four vital pathways to the college of business building where I go everyday.” Students also express concern with how much space the construction takes up.

This construction is part of an 82 million dollar plan that will improve studio facilities, and accessibility in the Wonsook College of Fine Arts. The construction is going to continue until December 31, 2027.
