Every year, Gingerbread House Toys hosts a Lego building contest for children ages three to 13.
The STEM based contest encourages children to not only explore their creative side, but also work with constructing and building their problem solving skills.
“Our motto here is play more, grow more.” Owner Kate Greene said. “We thought, what a perfect way to encourage kids to be creative.”
Around 150 kids have participated in this event each year.
Gingerbread House Toys staff says the creativity of each build is the most exciting things about the contest.
“The kids really come up with some crazy creations,” Jordan Repasz said. “We’ve had some that move, and one year someone made the Eras Tour. It’s so cool to see what their brains come up with.”
Voting for the contests will take place online and in-store from February 16th to February 21st.
