The Redbirds traveled up north for a Sunday Missouri Valley Conference match up at Credit Union 1 Arena against the UIC Flames.
With Chase Walker out for the game, the team took an offensive approach that gave them the an upper hand
The team kept the game close with three straight 3’s. Shortly after, the Flames brought the heat and took the lead from the Birds, outscoring them by 20 points.
Ty’Reek Coleman had solid a few solid plays when he knocked down a three and later put his defender on skates with a spin for a lay-up. He would finish by taking home seven points from the game.
The Redbirds would go on to drop this game with a final score of 83-56. This would drop the team to a 17-10 overall record and a 9-7 record in conference play.
