In the beginning of this year, the town of Normal closed down station two in favor of a new facility. A coffeehouse in uptown Normal hosted the Normal firefighters on Thursday night, to discuss the move on station two. They are remaining to fight for their concerns about the moving.

The station moved because it is part of a relocation plan that started in 2013 by the town of Normal. At the event on Thursday, council woman Kathleen Lorenz said “The community needs to decide between the sets of numbers”. The next council meeting will be held tonight at City Hall at seven p.m, but the fire department is not on the agenda.
