But I love putting on stuff like this, mainly to see students interacting with each other,” Club member Ben Miller said.
At the “Hack and Tell,” members showed off their recent projects, ranging from creating an app to order coffee, to adding modifications to the New York Times daily crossword puzzle. The turnout Wednesday exceeded expectations.
“My major is pretty small, so getting to connect with cyber security students, get to see what they do, along with computer science as well as information systems. Just coming together as a community and just being able to talk about technology,” Participant Matthew Mytnik said.
Not only do participants get to enjoy the company of like minded individuals, the event also hosted a prize, amazon gift cards were awarded to the top three projects. The winners included redesigning the code for a computer mouse, NFL statistic projections, and a modification to the video game ‘Minecraft’.
