A Bloomington Food Pantry run by the society of Saint Vincent De Paul offer food security to over 500 families near them and in surrounding areas
The pantry aims to lessen local food insecurity through restaurant bank and grocery store donations.
Volunteer Steve Nolan said “You know we have some people who just open bags. We have some people that do traffic out on the street. We have people that breakdown cardboards boxes for us. Every job here is important or we wouldn’t be able to serve who we serve.
Open 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. Monday though Friday and each month on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
The food pantry encourages anyone and everyone. any age to come and volunteer however they can, as much as they’d like.
