Professors of Illinois State University and Heartland Community College joined their students in rallying for “full funding” on Friday.
Speakers for the event said that underfunding over the years has resulted in resources being stretched thin and affects the quality of education.
Rally organizers said that the budget increase approved last year still comes short of what is be required to maintain a quality higher education for their students.
