The future Redbirds and their families recently got a firsthand look at campus life at Illinois State University.
Redbird day, which is a day admitted students visit to get connected before the fall semester. On this day they sit through a presentation, eat in the dinning hall, and tour the resident halls.
Campus organizers say the goal is for them to leave with a sense of belonging after the visit, they should feel welcomed, supported, and able to picture themselves at ISU.
” I hope when they leave here they can see themselves here in the fall. That they’ve had a good experience and both they and their parents and guardians feel comfortable about them attending ISU in the fall” said Director of Recruitment Pat Walsh.
