ISU pride and Milner Library hosted a pop up pride library last night at the Multicultural Center.
“So we are doing this through a little interactive activity inside with some guided questions and group discussion. We are also having Milner Library with a little pop-up library set up in the lobby of the multicultural center. They are also sharing books that deal with intersecting identities within the queer community,” Organizer Ezra Tarcak.
Organizers say the pop-up library is meant to highlight diverse voices within the queer community and give students a chance to explore different identities through books and shared stories.
There are several sorts of things from scholarly resources about the history of the community, things that the community has gone through or is going through. There is also fiction, both adult and young adult fiction, about the lives of people who identify with the community, so that people can see a story of someone and understand their experiences.
