Kyle Chmielowsky said voting should be “a civic celebration.”
“I think an opportunity for people to get involved and do something fun in such a casual setting such as this is a really, really great opportunity,” Chmielowsky said.
The watch party served as a celebration of the democratic process and a reminder of the importance of civic engagement.
Liliy Linden said young people’s voices matter.
“I know people often diminish that or we don’t feel that our vote counts, but it does,” Linden said.
The event was held from 7 pm to 10 pm.
The Department of Politics and Phi Sigma Alpha, the political honors society, collaborated on this event.
