Nomad Theaters hosted an event inspired by the play “Steel Magnolias”.
The event was an interactive show that blended performance and art. The acting performance gave way to a paint and sip activity that was held in a newly transformed setting, decorated by Nomad volunteers. Everything from the paintings on the wall to the rugs on the floor were provided by Nomad Theater to give the room a new look.
Paint and Sip allowed participants to paint on their own canvases while mingling with each other. The guests painted, reflected and experienced a story that offers strength often found in vulnerability. All workers for the event were volunteers who found fulfillment in the passion of the art.
Nomad has more interactive events planned for the end of May.
