Printmaking exhibition showcases student talent at annual ISU art sale

The 41st annual Printmaking Exhibition and Sale at Illinois State University has filled the Center for Visual Arts.

Featuring art created by ISU students and alumni, the event is one of the biggest opportunities of the year for students to share their work with the general public.

Cummings’ professor says she stands out in her work for her independence and creativity.

“A lot of my pieces are narrative based and I pull a lot of inspiration from my childhood memories or just my experience growing up that’s a topic I look into a lot with my artwork,” said Cummings.

Cummings has already applied for a rediency in Mexico City, hoping to explore her Mexican heritage and focus her work with family.

Artwork will be available at the sale Friday Dec.5 until 5 p.m. in the Center for Visual Arts.
