This past weekend, WZND alumni gathered on campus again, but this time to celebrate the station that molded their careers.

“It feels crazy to walk in the bone first off because its been renovated since the last time I was here and it’s beautiful” said alumni. Lexi Landis. “Just to see the legacy of WZND and see so many generations of people coming back to celebrate and all be part of the same family is incredible.”

Organizers say the event is about keeping the connection strong for future generations.

“Every five years they get to do a reunion that brings back all of our alumni and bring us all together. So to kind of step into a role where I knew I got to take this on pretty early on into my time here was really exciting knowing I got to build toward this event was something really really cool.” said Cami Serrahn.

The banquet also gives current student an opportunity to the many possibilities after college.

“Our alumni network is so important to who we are… It really allows our students to network with other people in the industry.” continued Serrahn. What was more than a group of alumni of s student radio station,This night an opportunity for creating connections, finding family and going back to where their careers started.
