The 2021 winners are Annamarie Schutt and Darnysha Mitchell.
Schutt wins the Hendershott Love Scholarship, especially appropriate since she is starting her career at WIFR-TV in Rockford, where Arles was News Director. She was a producer and anchor at TV-10, as well as a reporter, and in her final semester she co-hosted the entertainment show Ten on 10. Schutt also worked at WZND radio and HerCampus magazine. She was an active member of Students in the Illinois News Broadcasters Association.
Mitchell loves covering sports, and did that 
for TV-10 and the Vidette. The winner of the Vann Scholarship was a host and producer for the SportsZone, and did sports segments for the newscasts. She also worked at WGLT radio as a Student Reporter and a Social Media Intern. At home in Chicago, she volunteered as a “Money Mentor,” providing advice and counseling at community centers and schools.
Her first job will be as a Multi-media Journalist at WEEK/Heart of Illinois ABC in Peoria.
