Thursday, in the Bone Student Center, career services held their twice annual part time job fair. Students and employers from all over Bloomington-Normal take part in this event every year. Event coordinator, Rachel Janicki, said “Yeah, so today, I think we had like 14 or 15 employers. Usually with this fair we can get anywhere from usually that number to anywhere close to 30 employers. And then we have events that have everything in between.”

ISU holds part time job fairs every fall and spring giving ISU students many opportunities.

“Really at the end of the day it is to help students find jobs. You know, one time jobs are still a huge step in your career journey. A lot of people think of career services as just help for full time jobs after graduation, but we know a lot of students are working and want to work while they are here. From feedback that we get, it sounds like students are getting jobs from these events. Employers are really happy with the quality and preparation the students are bringing to events as well, so, really seems like everyone from all sides of it are getting what they came from.”

Part time jobs are integral to college students, events like this can help. More jobs can be found at the career services website under the events tab.
