As of January 29th, Fire House 2 in Normal has moved onto Shepard road. For the past 45 years the firehouse has been located on Blair drive but moved in hopes to serve the community east of Veterans Parkway with quicker response times to show more respect, and it seems to be working well. The community has been very welcoming to their new neighbors by stopping by to say hello and bringing in meals to show their gratitude. The new station was constructed and planned over the past two years. With individual bedrooms, a decontamination room, movie theater and even a weight room.
