Temperatures are up, along with outdoor social life at Illinois State University.

On Monday the high was 80 degrees, with cooler weather and thunderstorms expected for the rest of the week.

Students were out taking the chance to soak up the sun.

“Me and my friend we were gonna go eat dinner and I suggested we eat on the quad because its so nice out, and like I heard it was gonna be rainy the next couple of days and I just wanted to soak up the warm weather while it lasts.” Rachel Lucas said.

The warm weather isn’t just increasing outside activity, but also boosting moods and raising productivity.

“It definitely makes me more productive like I wanna go walk outside more; walking to class is way better or like you’re walking to the gym, and I just like, I feel better to hangout because we’ve been locked inside because its been so cold off and on.” Eliana Chernesky said.

With a rainy weekend approaching, students are encouraged to get outside while they still have the chance.
