This past Thursday, ISU hosted Dr. Michio Kaku. The world renowned physicist is known for his many appearances on television and three New York Time best sellers. Kaku’s professional goal is to compete Einstein’s unified field theory and in his lecture spoke on the theoretical future of humanity, robots and quantum computing.

So many people came from around Bloomington-Normal to see Kaku that the room needed to be expanded.

“Now these are technologies that are not yet here today; but your children and your grandchildren will benefit from these technologies. Okay? I think we’re going to have fusion power, unlimited power from fusion which means less pressure on oil producing countries, less fights over oil; because where does fusion power come from? It can come from sea water, for example. And there’s plenty of sea water to go around. And so in the future, I think there will be more energy that is free.” said Dr Kaku.

According to Kaku, the future is quantum.
