Alumni of IWU, the Ames family is helping contribute success on their former campus.
The donation was actually used to renovate multiple residence halls on campus. The other part of the gift went to endow four full professorships, helping to draw and recruit top faculty from around the country. With the money already being put to good cause, the university still believes this donation will be a huge stepping stone to inspire more donations in the future.
As Illinois Wesleyan is going into the most ambitious campaign in school history, the timing of this gift could not be any better. With this donation, staff will be able to better their academics, organizations, and the university overall. Chuck and Jay Ames will forever hold their mark at IWU.
