This past Thursday, the Harold K. Sage Foundation and Illinois State University organized an Injustice Walk Talk.

Two Cook County journalists in Illinois Kelly Garcia and Carlos Ballesteros came to talk to ISU students about how to solve injustice in their city and the state as well.

The goal of this talk was to make an impact on the students and learn how to prevent injustice.

Garcia loved connecting with the students who are aspiring journalists and talking about her work that she does.

Ballesteros talked about how it is important to have conversations like this in smaller cities like Bloomington-Normal.

Ballesteros said that journalism is everywhere and wants everyone to know about the voter’s guide and know about the judges.

Students can find the voter’s guide at the Center for Civic Engagement.
