During a Halloween celebration on Sunday morning at 1:23 am shots were fired resulting in the death of 19-year-old Gianna Dettloff and injuring 8 others.
The shooting occurred on North Division Street right near Illinois Wesleyan baseball fields.
The first victim has taken to the hospital around 1:41 am and the last victim was taken to the hospital around 1:47 am.
Bloomington Mayor Dan Brady wasn’t happy about the incident that took place claiming that any violence is too much for the community of Bloomington.
Dettloff was a college student from Carol Stream who was visiting a friend but unfortunately her life was taken away.
The investigation is still ongoing and Dettloff’s family is asking for privacy during this time.
