The MCC and Redbird Esports teamed up to try and help stressed students unwind.
Last Thursday the multicultural center sponsored an event to help students wine down in between their classes. They provided coloring pages, fidget toys, and puzzles.
“One of our pillars for the MCC are emotions and wellness, we did a video about emotional honesty and students honest with their feelings we saw that students were feeling stressed and we expanded this beyond the MCC to the campus community for all Redbirds” said by Oluwafunke Ademola-Aliu of the MCC.
Redbird Esports provided a variety of games and consoles including nintendo switches, playstations, and even a guitar game.
Zach Dell the Program Director of Esports said “I am the program director for Esports and we are bringing our nintendo switches and virtual reality headsets so they have a little more engagement at their event”.
Even though the turn out wasn’t what they had hoped, some students were still able to benefit and destress.
